- Save up to half the installed cost of a solar PV system
- Cut your monthly electricity costs for the next 20 years
- Reduce your carbon footprint
If you’d like to generate your own electricity using solar power, the SolarCurrents™ customer-owned program can make doing so much more affordable.
Once you have purchased and installed your solar energy (photovoltaic) system, Detroit Edison will help offset your installation cost by an average of $22,000 (based on an average system size of 4.5 kW, over 20 years). The SolarCurrents program, combined with net metering, federal tax credits and local incentives could save you more than half the cost of your new photovoltaic system.
In return, Detroit Edison will receive all rights to any Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) allocated to that renewable generation.
