Landlord Utility Manager is a free online tool designed specifically for landlords to use in managing electric and natural gas service from DTE Energy:
- Electric and/or gas utility service is automatically transferred into your name when a tenant takes service out of their name -- no phone calls, no waiting
- You receive an e-mail notification each time a unit goes into or out of your name
- The $5.00 new electric account charges are waived for all accounts transferred into your name
- Help tenants start or discontinue DTE Energy electric or gas utility service; receive immediate status confirmation
- Obtain a report of apartments in your name
- Enroll or remove units from the Landlord Utility Manager program
- Run site usage history reports
- Enter meter readings for move-ins and move-outs to ensure accurate billing

Program requirements
To enroll in Landlord Utility Manager you will need a DTE Energy account number, the federal tax identification number or Social Security Number associated with that account, and the addresses of the units you wish to enroll. Then go to landlord.dteenergy.com and follow the simple instructions to register.
To participate, your DTE Energy account cannot have a past-due balance. Landlord Utility Manager can be accessed from any computer with Internet access. Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher is recommended.
