Ready to get started?  Here are the basic steps.  A more detail process is contained in the Process Checklist**.

1. Select a solar installer and determine your planned PV system size.
2. Submit your SolarCurrents Application** and your Interconnection Application**.
3. Allow time for Detroit Edison to complete the interconnection engineering review and prepare the contracts. 
4. Begin installing your system.
5. Sign and return Parallel Operating Agreement and SolarCurrents Agreement (contract) with proof of installation and copies of local/municipal inspections.
6. Detroit Edison will complete final inspection and testing.
7. Receive your up-front REC payment in the form of a check.
8. Begin seeing monthly REC credits on your DTE Energy bill.
