Q: Do I have to fill in every section of the Candidate Profile?
A: It's in your best interest to be complete when filling out the Candidate Profile and Personal Data sections, and to provide a cover letter specific to a job for which you are applying. We screen for qualified applicants based on the information you have provided.
Q: What if I don't have an e-mail address?
A: An e-mail address is required so that we can communicate with you about your application. There are many sources for free e-mail accounts. Use a search engine, like Yahoo, Google, or others, to locate these services.
Q: What if my e-mail address has changed?
A: Logon. From the Personal Pages, under the Personal Data section, click the 'Communication Data' link. Enter your new e-mail address. Save data.
Q: I forgot my password - now what?
A: Open the Logon screen. Click the Forgot Password link and follow the directions provided. A new, temporary password will be sent to the e-mail address listed in your Communication Data.
Q: My account is locked. What should I do?
A: After three consecutive entries of an invalid username and/or password, the system will lock your account. To unlock your account, send an e-mail stating your first and last name and your e-mail address to Technical Support.
Q: I registered several months ago. Why don't my user name and password work?
A: We recently upgraded our Online Application systems. If you registered with us prior to January 20, 2007, please re-register. We were unable to retain original user names, passwords and Resume/Profiles when the upgrade was installed.
Q: Can I search for all job opportunities without specifying any search criteria?
A: Yes. We recommend you do not specify any criteria so the system will display all current job openings. From the Jobs section of your Personal Pages home page, select 'Search for Jobs' and then ‘Start Search’.
Q: Can I submit an application without applying for a specific job?
A: No, we only accept applications for listed job openings.
Q: How do I check the status of my application?
A: Logon. From the Personal Pages home page, under the Jobs section, click the 'Applications' link. Look for the job posting. The current status will display in the Status column.
The status will indicate one of four things:
| In Process: | The application has been submitted. It is being reviewed by the Recruiting team; awaiting assessment results, or interviews are in progress |
| Withdrawn: | This indicates you chose to withdraw the application. |
| Rejected: | Your application was not successful or the job posting has been cancelled. You will receive a notification from the Recruiter indicating you are no longer being considered for the job. |
| To Be Hired: | You successfully met the requirements and have been selected to fill the vacancy |
Q: How do I cancel an application?
A: Logon. From the Personal Pages, under the Jobs section, click the 'Applications' link. Highlight the job posting. Click the 'Withdraw' link. 'Accept' the confirmation statement. Your withdrawal will not affect any applications you have pending for other positions. As long as the job posting has not expired, you may reapply for the same job later. If you withdraw after participating in an interview or test, we may contact you. Understanding your reason(s) for withdrawal will help us assess the effectiveness of our recruitment process.
Q: The online application site isn't working - how can I report that?
A: The Online Application program is supported by the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher,
- Mozilla 1.7.5 and higher
- Firefox 1.0 and higher
- Netscape Navigator 7.0 or higher (except v. 7.10)
Please verify that your personal firewall and virus protection are configured correctly. Temporarily disable pop-up blockers.
If you continue to experience technical problems, please report them to Technical Support.
Q: I am unable to enter data into the descriptive fields of the Candidate Profile.
A: If this occurs, enter the information into the Cover Letter section. The information stored in the Cover Letter will display or save only for that specific job.
