About Online Application

Printable version

Please read this page before searching or applying for jobs.

The online application process allows you to

  • Search for current job openings.
  • Register . When you register, the Candidate Profile you create remains on file to make future applications easier. Your profile describes your experience, skills and education.
  • Apply for current job openings.
  • Manage your information . Once registered, you can maintain your Candidate Profile, apply for jobs and check the status of a previously submitted application.

The Online Application program opens in a separate browser window. Remember to use the navigation within that new window to access the various online application functions. When you close the window, you return to the Careers Web pages.

Search for current job openings

  • Select the Job Search link in the left navigation of this Web page.
  • A new browser window will open. Select 'Start Search'.
  • We recommend you do not specify any criteria, so the system will display all current job openings.
  • When search results are returned, select the job posting title to read more about that job.
  • If no search results are returned, it means we do not currently have any job openings posted. Please check back at a later date.

  • The first time you apply for a job, you will be prompted to register.
  • You may create your own user name and password, or let the system automatically generate a user name and password for you.

Manage your information

Once registered, you can log in to update your personal  information or check the status of a previously submitted application. Your Personal Pages contain four main sections:

1.  Candidate Profile

  • There are five subsections within this section:

    • Candidate Profile, where you record your work experience, education and relevant skills.

    • By default, this section opens on the work experience data entry page. After you make your first entry, click the 'New Entry' button to add information about other jobs you have held.

TIP: If you have had more than one job with the same employer, enter each job separately, describing the specific duties and responsibilities.

To enter education information, select the 'Education' prompt, make your initial entry and click the 'New Entry' button to add more education information.

You may use the 'Attachment' tab to include information like a resume, writing sample or licenses and certifications.

We do not currently use the Talent Warehouse feature of this online application software, so you should not complete the 'Qualifications', 'Desired Job' or 'Desired Location' tabs.

    • Data Overview, which allows you to review all profile information you have entered

    • Profile release. Please make sure your profile is released so that we may view the experience, education and skills information you have entered in your Candidate Profile.

    • Change Interest Group. We do not currently use the Talent Warehouse feature of this online application software, so no action is needed here.

    • Delete registration allows you to clear all your personal data from our system, including your user name and password. If you wish to use our online application system at a later date, you will need to re-register.

When prompted to save, click 'Save' or the data you entered will not be retained.

Use the “back” button inside the application window to return to the previous page. Use the 'Start Page' button to return to your Personal Pages (home page).

2.  Jobs

  • Use this section to search for jobs, review the status of an application, or withdraw a previously submitted application. You may use the 'Favorites' to bookmark job postings you may want to apply for at a later time. Note, however, that once a posting has expired, you may no longer apply.

3.  Personal Data

  • Review your Personal Data and Communication Data regularly to ensure you have provided all needed information and that it is up-to-date. This is especially important when it comes to your e-mail address, listed under Communication Data. Our primary method of contacting you will be through e-mail.

4.  Personal Settings

  • This section allows you to set display formats and change your user name. Use the Personal Settings link to set the format that will be used to display dates and decimal numbers.

  • TIP: Set your date display preference to MM/DD/YYYY. Set 'PDF' as your preferred display format.
