Local Teacher Earns DTE Energy Foundation Grant

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Warren resident Maureen Smith has received a grant from the DTE Energy Foundation Mini-Grants for Educators program. Smith is a teacher at Connor Creek Academy East in Roseville. The DTE Energy Foundation grant program was established in 1990 to promote science and energy studies for K-12 students. Pictured at the recent awards presentation are: John Bozymowski, Macomb ISD board president; Smith; Ron Chriss, DTE Energy regional manager; and Paul Drummond, Macomb ISD science consultant.
