Community Commitment
We believe that being part of the community is a privilege – one we strive to earn by contributing time, resources and expertise to create a stronger and more sustainable future for people and programs throughout our service territory.
These efforts include the work of the DTE Energy Foundation as well as our involvement in public policy and the political arena (see the People section* of the Corporate Responsibility report).
For more than 100 years, DTE Energy has participated in political debates that shape our public policy. That history continues today as energy issues dominate our nation’s political landscape.
We’ve also developed a political action committee designed to provide our employees with an effective, convenient way to make financial contributions to candidates and to participate in the democratic process.
Because we take our commitment to corporate responsibility seriously, we’ve established a series of corporate responsibility goals we're working to meet over the next two years.
