We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment, developing cleaner ways to produce energy, helping our customers use energy more efficiently, and partnering to enhance the environment for plants, animals and people.
Meeting Regulations
Assuring that our power plants, electrical distribution system, natural gas system and other operations meet all environmental regulations and limits is the starting point for our commitment to environmental stewardship. In some cases, we have had to anticipate future regulations and invest in new control systems in advance of regulations becoming effective. When possible and practical, we go beyond regulations to adopt practices that provide additional environmental benefits. But meeting regulations is our primary responsibility, and it’s a duty that we shoulder willingly and with a sense of pride.
To provide our customers, shareholders and other stakeholders with information on the environmental impacts of our operations, we provide emissions data in reports that are available to the public. We also provide access to reports made to regulatory agencies.
