We're proud to support the Traverse City National Cherry Festival.

With more than 130 entries, the DTE Energy Cherry Royale Parade, is one of the Midwest's largest parades.

Each year, we partner with a local non-profit organization to build a parade float and complete a project that enriches the community. Our employees volunteer their time and energy to bring each year's float – and the support project that accompanies it – to life.

This year, our float showcased the Grand Traverse Region Habitat for Humanity and featured a replica of an LEED certified energy efficient Habitat home that will be built in Traverse City this fall. The house is being built by Northwestern Michigan College students and underwritten in part by the DTE Energy Foundation.  It will be the first LEED certified home built in the area.
