About:  Hi. My name is Paris Simpson. I am a 20-year old student from Detroit. Currently, I am a sophomore attending Saginaw Valley State University with a major in Media Communications and a minor in Theatre. I’m involved in a little bit of everything. I enjoy the arts: singing, dancing, writing and performing poetry. My passion is giving back to those who are willing to receive. I love to help and inspire others by sharing what I have been given. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends, travel, and get to know new people.

I’m excited to be working with the DTE Energy Foundation Community Summer Jobs Program this summer. I hope my enthusiasm rubs off and encourages and inspires other young people in the program to take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. During their internships, it is my hope to connect with them in a fun, friendly way and to help share our experiences with a broader audience. I’m hoping our experiences will help others learn about what it t takes to complete a successful internship and ultimately become a capable and confident professional.
