Distribution Operations is responsible for the delivery of electricity from substations to end users, including industrial, commercial and residential customers. Distribution Operations maintains more than 700 substations (facilities that use a collection of transformers to reduce voltage and breakers to protect circuits) and 13 service centers and supercenters. These facilities began certifying to the ISO 14001 standard in 2009, starting with the Systems Engineering and Equipment (SE&E) group.
