The Henry Ford Health Systems (HFHS) EAP is a free and confidential* counseling and referral service for the DTE Energy employees, retirees and members of their immediate families. DTE Energy and all local unions recognize that a wide range of personal issues can substantially affect an employee's work performance. While an employee may overcome personal problems independently, in most cases, professional assistance is helpful or necessary in finding solutions. Employees are encouraged to seek help before work is negatively affected.

If you see a HFHS EAP counselor on your own time as a self-referral, this information will not be shared with your supervisor. In the case of a referral by a supervisor based on an employee's job performance, the HFHS EAP counselor will let the supervisor know if the employee kept the appointment, whether the employee agrees to accept the help that was offered, and whether progress is being made to resolve the problems. No information concerning the nature of your problem will be shared without your written consent.
