Customers with monthly bills less than $30 a month are automatically entered in this program.*

How Does It Work?

It’s simple.  If your energy usage is less than $30 in any given month, you will not receive a bill. Once your account balance reaches $30, your bill will be automatically mailed to you, on your normal billing date, with no penalties. Regardless of your bill amount, you will receive a bill at least once every three months.

  • Reducing the number of printed paper bills helps the environment

 *Who Qualifies?

  • All customers with monthly bills less than $30 a month, who pay their DTE Energy bill in full and on time. 
  • Customers enrolled in eBill Paperless Billing, Automatic Payment, BudgetWise® Billing, other payment plans, a Payment Agreement, Electric/Gas Choice or accounts with arrears are not eligible.

If you would like to continue your current billing arrangements and prefer to keep receiving your paper bill for small monthly amounts, you can choose to unenroll from the Reduced Billing Frequency program.

 

This unenroll button will take you to your Account Summary page.

  1. Click on the account that is enrolled in Reduced Billing Frequency to open your Account Detail page.
  2. Select the Reduced Billing Frequency link under the list of Products and Services
  3. Follow the instructions to unenroll.

 If you are not signed in or registered yet, you will be prompted to complete that process.
