OPTION #1 - D1.9 Electric Vehicle Rate and DTE Energy $2,500 incentive


DTE Energy is pleased to work with you during your transition to electric vehicle ownership!  We offer a special electric vehicle charging rate (D1.9 Electric Vehicle Rate) and charging station incentive up to $2,500 for the first 2,500 residential customers who apply.

In order to qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be a DTE Energy electric customer with an active account.
  2. Own your own home or provide written approval from your landlord or property owner.
  3. Vehicle must be SAE J-1772 compliant.
  4. You must have a dedicated parking spot at your residence.
  5. You must take delivery of your vehicle or be able to show proof of ownership of your vehicle.

To complete the qualification process for the DTE Energy $2,500 incentive, please complete the steps below:

6 Easy Steps for Qualification

Step 1Step #1 Register and Apply to the Program

Complete the DTE Energy PEV application at our installation partner Bosch Automotive Service Solutions site. By clicking here, you will leave DTE Energy’s web site and are being directed to a third party web site. Please note that DTE has no control over this other web site, including the protection of any information you may choose to provide that third party.

Step 2Step #2 Complete and Return the Customer Agreement and Proof of Ownership

Once you have applied, you will receive and e-mail that contains the Plug-In Electric Vehicle Customer Agreement.  Please complete and send it as well as your Michigan Registration (or RD-108 form*) to Bosch Automotive Service Solutions.

Step 3Step #3 Schedule a Home Assessment and Quote

Next, Bosch will contact you to schedule an electrician to assess your home and provide a quote for installation of the charging station.  Following this service visit, you will receive an installation quote for your review and approval.

Step 4Step #4 Installation

Upon quote approval, a Bosch Automotive Service Solutions representative will contact you to schedule the installation.

Step 5Step #5 Schedule the Inspection

After the installation is complete, an Bosch Automotive Service Solutions representative will coordinate an inspection with your local jurisdiction. An Bosch Automotive Service Solutions representative will also contact you regarding an appointment date for inspection. You MUST be home when this inspection takes place.

Step 6Step #6 Second Meter Installation

Upon your inspection approval, Bosch will notify DTE Energy and we will schedule your second meter installation. 

 

OPTION #2 - D1.9 Electric Vehicle Rate Only


In order to qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. DTE Energy Electric customer with an active account.
  2. Have an approved level 2 (220/240 volt) charging station that has been installed according to National Electrical Code (NEC) 625.
  3. Have a separate electric vehicle meter (D1.9).
