Save up to 40% off the regular residential rate when you enroll in this rate and charge your vehicle at night or on weekends.
The Electric Vehicle Rate, D1.9, is a time-of-use rate that offers lower prices for energy used in off-peak hours – between 11 PM and 9 AM Monday through Friday, or any time on Saturday and Sunday. Enrollment in the Electric Vehicle Rate (D1.9) requires the installation of a separate meter and a Level 2 Electric Vehicle charger (EVSE).
For a limited time, Detroit Edison will offer up to $2,500 off the cost of a Level 2 EVSE for the first 2,500 customers who purchase a plug-in electric vehicle and enroll in the D1.9 rate. Applications for this pilot program will be available later in the year. To be notified when the program is available, please join our mailing list.
