It’s a good thing families can cut their related energy costs by more than a third—and the water costs by more than half—just by purchasing a qualified clothes washer. Over the life of your new qualified washer, you’ll save enough money in operating costs to pay for the matching dryer. With your water savings, you could fill three backyard swimming pools.

Limited Funds: Funds for incentives are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.  Incentive amounts are valid through December 31, 2010.  DTE Energy reserves the right not to pay this incentive if funds are not available at the time of application approval or if the form and all the required additional information are not filled out completely and accurately.

Did you know that properly using a programmable thermostat in your home is one of the easiest ways you can save energy and money? A programmable thermostat helps make it easy for you to save by offering four preprogrammed settings to regulate your home’s temperature in both summer and winter, and when you are asleep or away.

Homeowners can save about $180 a year by properly setting their programmable thermostats and maintaining those settings. The preprogrammed settings that come with the programmable thermostat are intended to deliver savings without sacrificing comfort. Depending on your family’s schedule, you can see significant savings by sticking with those settings or adjust them as appropriate for your family.
