I’m a do-it-yourselfer. Can I still benefit from the Pilot offering?
The Home Energy Plan is beneficial for all eligible DTE Energy customers but this Pilot Program is designed to provide analysis and upgrade projects performed by BPI-certified Home Performance Professionals. The deep home retrofits featured in this offering are achieved by utilizing special diagnostic equipment and detailed analysis of how the various systems in your home interact with one another.

I already have energy efficient light bulbs, a programmable thermostat, and ENERGY STAR® appliances. If I do these other upgrades, will I really save that much money on my energy bills?
The retrofits available through this Pilot Program will provide additional energy savings far beyond those simpler measures. The various air sealing, insulation, equipment, and ventilation measures offered in the Pilot Program are generally more expensive upgrades but they reduce the amount of energy it takes to keep your home comfortable, well ventilated, and more efficient.

My energy bills are not that high right now. Can I wait until the heating season comes to get my FREE Home Energy Plan?
This is a limited time Pilot Program - availability and funding is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. Rebates for home performance upgrades are also available on a first come, first served basis. The sooner you call to schedule your FREE assessment, the more likely you are to be able to benefit from all of valuable features included in this offering.
