Heating and cooling typically account for more than half of a home’s energy use, making them the largest energy expense for most households. 

There are many factors that influence how much energy is used, but in most every house there is room for more insulation. In addition to insulation, other weatherization measures -- such as air sealing and window replacement -- can make your home more comfortable in the winter and summer and substantially reduce your energy bills.

DTE Energy's Your Energy Savings^SM program offers great rebates of up to $1,350 per home on select weatherization measures.

Boost your purchase savings even further by taking advantage of promotional rebates offered by manufacturers, retailers, and potential Federal tax credits of up to 30% of the purchase price for materials, up to another maximum household credit of $1,500.

Customer Eligibility

The Your Energy Savings Weatherization rebate program serves residential customers in single and multi-family dwellings of four units or less, who purchase and install qualified weatherization measures.  See the table below for further eligibility information.

To participate in the program, these eligibility requirements must be met:

1. MichCon must be your primary heating fuel supplier, or you must have all electric heat powered by Detroit Edison 
2. The energy-saving measure(s) you install must meet the efficiency and minimum square footage requirements set forth by the program guidelines 
3. The incentive claim form must be completed in its entirety and submitted with all required documentation 
4. Your application must be for measures installed on or after January 1, 2010
5. Your application must be received within 45 days following the installation of your insulation and weatherization measures
