DETROIT, December 15, 2020 -- DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) today announced it is issuing Requests for Information (RFI) regarding the development of behind-the-meter energy storage systems (ESS) at commercial/industrial customer sites that would be integrated into the company’s distribution system. DTE and its customers will use the ESS to help achieve economic and reliability objectives, allowing for storage to be called upon as needed. By pursuing the development of ESS, DTE is investing in the enhancement and expansion of its Demand Response portfolio.
Through the RFI, the company is seeking information to create a scope of work for ESS projects ranging from 250KVA to 1,000KVA to be developed in 2021.
All contractors interested in receiving more information about the RFI should send their contact information, referencing the DR RFI, to DRRFP@dteenergy.com no later than January 14, 2020.
