EV charging stations attract customers and keep them shopping longer

By installing EV charging stations at your retail or public location, you’ll better position it to:

  • Attract new and repeat customers
  • Increase shopping visit durations
  • Enhance customer satisfaction
  • Establish your location as an environmental leader in your community

EV charging stations also help you make an impact on our local economy since EVs run on fuel produced in Michigan, by Michiganders!

Choosing the Right Charging Station

Level 2 chargers are the most practical EV charging solution for retail and public spaces. A city, however, may prefer DCFC to create a downtown showcase for its urban center. View Business EV Charger Rebate.

Level 2

  • Connect to a four-prong, 240-volt outlet, like the one that powers a clothes dryer
  • Charging can be hardwired, which requires a charging station with a conduit, instead of a plug
  • One hour of Level 2 charging provides about 10 to 30 miles of range, depending on the vehicle model

DC Fast Charger (DCFC)

  • An EV must be fast-charging enabled for DCFC
  • Additional electrical infrastructure is required
  • A DCFC can charge an EV in 30 minutes or less
