All new, relocated or upgraded residential service connections will be installed as underground residential service laterals at the customer's expense.
New Construction Gas Service
Building a home? Contact us as soon as possible so we can confirm the location of the new building and evaluate options for new natural gas service. Early contact is necessary to provide adequate planning and resources. This includes initial contact to establish a project file, confirm property location, and to provide you with any necessary information about natural gas service. Later, an on-site inspection to take measurements, determine service line path and address any final payment details is required. DTE is committed to installing your gas service promptly. However, many local jurisdictions enforce road restrictions during the winter months, which may prevent us from obtaining the necessary permits for construction during that time, so apply as soon as possible in the home-building process.
