DTE has a long history of partnering with local and diverse suppliers to deliver the best combination of quality and price for our customers.
For decades, we have prioritized spending with Michigan-based suppliers. These are often small and midsize companies that we connect with new opportunities at DTE or through one of our larger suppliers.
Our award-winning supplier diversity program gives a broad range of businesses the opportunity to thrive.
Through these efforts, our suppliers are succeeding and growing—creating value and positive economic impact across Michigan.
At DTE, we are committed to building a high-quality, local, cost-effective, and inclusive supply chain that drives innovation and delivers the best value for our customers.” – Joi Harris, president and CEO, DTE
We act on this commitment by pursuing partnerships with businesses that provide the strongest combination of service, quality, and price. We seek out the highest-value suppliers — including businesses owned by women, minorities, veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community, disabled-owned business enterprises, and small businesses.
Through outreach, mentoring, and training, we cultivate meaningful relationships with these companies and encourage them to explore opportunities to partner with us and with our other suppliers.
Our commitment creates a future-ready, resilient supply chain that gives every supplier a fair chance to grow while reflecting our customers.
Our Supplier Diversity strategy strengthens our company, generates and sustains local jobs, delivers value for our customers, and improves lives in the communities we serve.
